RetractaRoof®
The RetractaRoof® has many advantages over a conventional roof design; the roof is able to withdraw beyond the rear wall of the vessel, completely clearing the composting area. One advantage of our patented design is the unlimited headroom for loading and unloading, this is increasingly important with the increased size of loaders and trucks allowing very efficient filling of the vessels. The second advantage is the steam from the composted material escapes quickly once the roof opens to give a safe visible workspace for loading shovel operators with no worries of the Confined Spaces Act.

The RetractaRoof® is opened electronically, but has a manual override. Opening and closing takes about one minute and can be done in intervals so the material within the vessels is exposed to the environment for the minimum amount of time.
The roof design keeps the void between the material and the roof to a minimum resulting in better control of air circulation and improved profiles of temperature, in turn obtaining an effective pathogen kill.

The RetractaRoof® cover is manufactured from a unique Scandinavian PVC PU alloy, UV stabilised which is design to cope with all the hostile conditions encountered. The frame work and many of the components are made from stainless steel. |
